A false alarm...
Tonight was the second time I was put on standby to head north with the SES to help the folks in Innisfail...but alas, the trip was cancelled again! Apparently they don't need us? That's not quite what I've been seeing in the news! Maybe I'll get my chance next week?

The good and the very bad
This week started out on a health-kick high when Tony and I went back to Pilates on Tuesday night. It was tough going as we hadn't been since before Christmas, and there were a few aching muscles on Wednesday!
The health-kick died a nasty death on Thursday as it was Carli's last day at SRQ - after gobbling down a super-sized farewell morning tea the Comms team headed out for lunch - and a couple glasses of my fave plonk, NZ Sauv Blanc - before heading back to the office to try and wile away the hours with a light head.
After work we headed over to the Chill Bar and continued to enjoy a drink or two, or three, or four, etc, etc, etc... and it got ugly from there. I never want to see vodka again, at least not on a school night!!! I had a great night with Carli and Alex (what goes on tour stays on tour guys, so I promise I won't blab any stories here!). Poor Alex had to back up again on Friday for a Bucks Weekend (he looked like death on Monday!!)
On Saturday arvo-evening I was involved in a floodboat photo shoot for the SES - just call me the SES covergirl ;-) It was sooooo much fun and I promise to post pics here as soon as I get them.

Puppy update
Here are a few recent pics of our boy Zack. He's now 10 months old and he's cracked the 25 kilo mark. Zack is one big, lovable puppy!!!

February at a glance
Since Melbourne we've been quite busy:
- We had Fi and Chey over for dinner
- I started back at SES - and for the next little while I'm the New Member Liaison Officer - basically the first point of contact for our new intake of members, plus I organise their training and report on their progress back to the Group Executive and Management. It's a fair bit of work, but very enjoyable.
- Lots of family visits, dinners and lunches
- A couple of big nights out on the town, plus a few Sunday arvo drinkies at Oxford 152 and the odd after-work Friday arvo drinks.
- A weekend down the Gold Coast at the Magic Mountain resort (remember the old theme park?!)
- Seeing TransAmerica at the Dendy - I give it 7.5 out of 10
- Seeing Dirty Dancing, the musical with the lovely Fi
- Booking a holiday package to Melbourne to see the Lion King with my sister Ronda and friend Fi. We're going in May and I'm very excited!
I'm sure I've missed a few things, but they're the highlights and now I'm finally up-to-date with the blog!! I've only been behind since about November!!!
